Field Trip in Kyoto

2015/12/12

At Kansai University Japanese Language and Culture Program (Bekka), we offer field trips for students to learn about Japan and its culture.

On December 12, 100 Bekka students went to Kyoto as one of the field trips. At Kounji Temple, the students had a Zen meditation experience. At Asahi Shimbun Kyoto Factory, they went on a tour around the factory and learnt about printing technology. At the end of the trip, the students visited Shimogamo-Jinja Shrine, a world cultural heritage site and enjoyed Gagaku (a type of Japanese classical music that has been performed at the Imperial Court in Kyoto for several centuries). It was a great opportunity for the Bekka students to learn about Japanese culture and technology.

At Kansai University Japanese Language and Culture Program Preparatory Course, we offer assistance to support our students' learning. As part of the support, we invited admissions staff from Graduate Schools and had an information session.

At the session, detailed information regarding admissions and professors was given and everyone seemed to find the information useful.
