Field Trip in Nara

2014/08/04

Bekka students went on an overnight field trip to Osaka and Nara. On the first day, the students visited Osaka Gas Science Museum to learn about gas supply system and environmental issues followed by a visit to Kishiwada Danjiri Museum. After that, they headed to Ueda Memorial Hall in Asuka Institute of Kansai University and enjoyed Suikawari, a common game to play in Japanese summer where we try and hit a watermelon with a stick blindfolded. They also worked in groups to come up with Senryu (Japanese form of short poetry) and to create their future study plan.

On the next day, they visited Nara Prefecture Complex of Man'yo Culture and then visited Kofukuji-Temple and Todaiji Temple.
