Dr. Sajjad Pouromid’s Cross-Cultural Competence class connected via Skype with their Mofid University COIL partners in Iran for a live Q&A session in part as preparation for their upcoming group projects and presentations. Kansai University students had the opportunity to ask questions based on PDI (Power Distance Index) about Iranian contemporary values and traditional culture, and better understand their international partners in the hour-long session. 

 

The students have been collaborating in small groups to put together cultural magazines introducing various aspects of Japanese and Iranian culture, such as popular entertainment and traditional clothing. At the end of the semester, students will also give presentations on the collaboration.
