On the fourth day of the program, the 29th of February, Professor Keiko Ikeda (IIGE・JIGE) and Ms. Heather Ward of the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill jointly conducted a workshop at Taylor's University. The workshop was divided into two parts: the first half focused on Comprehensive Internationalization, and each group discussed "Who, what, and how to promote internationalization of universities" and "Definition of Internationalization”. In the second half of the session, all participants discussed “Leading Innovation in Higher Education”. To clarify the goal setting and necessary process required for innovation in an organization, participants were asked to role-play. Each group member was assigned a role to think about facets that they normally do not consider deeply, such as cash flow and the thoughts of the top management of an organization, etc. It was a day when all participants became keenly aware of the need for clear and well-reasoned goals, not just words and ideas.
