On the third day of the program, the 28th of February, a group of faculty members and FD dispatchers visited Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bangi campus. We learned some surprising facts, such as (1) the number of undergraduate and graduate students they have at UKM doesn’t differ a lot (the difference is only 1,000), (2) UKM actively sends outbound science students to Germany and Korea for study abroad purposes, and (3) that they can send up to 30 students per exchange in their science program. The visit to UKM, which has a different educational scheme and a bold perspective, was a great opportunity for us to gain new knowledge regarding what internationalization is about.
