研究の経緯
人文系の教養課程でフランス現代思想に関心を持ったのち、都市工学と原子力工学を学ぶ。前職の電力中央研究所では、原子力のリスク評価・管理・コミュニケーションに従事。現在はリスク学・科学技術社会論・技術哲学などを横断しながら、先端技術システムにおける安全の概念、知識と認識の問題、超長期のリスク課題などに取り組んでいる。
研究テーマ
① どれくらい安全なら「十分安全」といえるか
② 放射性廃棄物処分等の超長期リスクのガバナンス
③ 災害予測・評価技術の社会的意味付け
④ 不確実性下での安全確保と知識・認識の問題
