研究の経緯
日本における都市と建築の近代化過程をより実態的に再考察するために、財閥によるオフィス街開発について研究を行ってきた。とりわけ、導入として三菱による丸ノ内地区開発を主なる事例として扱ってきた。近年は、近代建築・都市の史的研究に加えて、建築技法・設計技法の保存活用に関する研究も行っている。
