研究の経緯
明治期の建築界に注目し、西洋建築の移入・摂取の様子を主に文献資料から探ってきた。近年は近代の大阪に注目し、明治以降の大阪の建築と都市の形成について研究を進めるとともに、現存する近代建築・戦後建築の保存・活用に関する調査・研究を進めている。
