Kobe University hold Kobe University Brussels Workshop and Brokerage Event 'New Opportunities for EU-Japan Research & Innovation Cooperation' online on October 21, 2021, and Prof. Yuichi OHYA from the Faculty of Chemistry, Materials and Bioengineering, Kansai University which has overseas office at KU Leuven in Belgium, presented at the event.
Prof. Ohya took the stage as the Director of the Kansai University Medical Polymer Research Center to introduce the research of this project to Europe. The research to develop medical materials and systems based on the needs of clinicians in the field, commercialize them as internationally competitive medical devices, and deliver them to clinical sites (people = patients and doctors) is closely related to "cancer", which is one of the mission areas in the 9th EU Research & Innovation Framework Programme "Horizon Europe" (2021-2027). This presentation was especially aimed at European universities and research institutes who are interested in collaborate research between the EU and Japan, and thus provided an opportunity to look forward to future developments.
