PREP-ROOM is a space on the JV-Campus Atelier site where module lineups are available to improve English and Japanese communication skills required to take MCP modules.
Design and start operation of "Japanese PREP-ROOM" in 2024: This course is designed for learners (CEFR A2-B1 level) who have not yet reached the B2 level of Japanese, and is offered as a preparatory course for participating in the "Business Japanese Communication," "Japanese Communication for COIL," "Academic Discussion in Japanese," and many other programs (implemented in Japanese) in the Blended Mobility Project.
The "English PREP-ROOM" will gradually begin in late 2024! This module allows students to practice COIL-type co-curricular learning and active participation in EMI classes with the cooperation of overseas collaborative partners such as Portland State University. These schools have MATESOL and other studies that are well-developed in their master's degree programs. Some of the modules will be shared with the high school students and will be expanded as a high school-university collaborative program in the future.

JIGE Campus Community (J-CC) is a platform specially set up by JIGE for students from JIGE's overseas partner universities and domestic students from the three universities. On J-CC, students can form groups by campus, year, specialization, activities, hobbies, etc., and interact with each other before, during, and after their stay in Japan, wherever they may be. Students taking courses through the JV-Campus will be able to study together in the JIGE Campus Community space even if they are not in the same place physically and will be able to connect with each other outside of their courses as a community.
Combining JV-Campus and J-CC together solves the problem of provision of one-directional content offerings (since JV-Campus by itself is mostly used for on-demand type educational content). By creating a flow line from JV-Campus to J-CC, it is possible to promote the interactive nature of learning and by getting them connected, it is possible to provide an environment where there is psychological support for students when they go to study abroad. The website can also be accessed from smartphones. Japanese language support will also be provided, making the service more accessible to people, for example, Japanese students who are not yet familiar with the English interface and university faculty and staff.
