 Research on human error has been conducted in various fields. However, there is still room for further development in the future. To realize a safe life in a society which continues to develop further into the future, the understanding of human error and human beings is indispensable. The human error theory uses a multidirectional and comprehensive approach from various aspects such as "people", "system", and "technology", and works on various issues.

・Ex-principal investigator of National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Japan. ・Currently, from the perspective of human factors, provides improvement guidance and evaluation on safety education and safety activities in companies. ・Research fields range widely from small factories to large-scale construction sites, aircraft/vehicle handling, operation of power stations/various plants, etc. ・Wrote "Human factors psychology for a new era of safety and comfort" (Yuhikaku Publishing Co., Ltd., 2013, edited by Kazumitsu Shinohara, Takahiro Nakamura) and many other books.
