Expert’s Eyes

To create a safe and secure society without injuries, I am conducting researches on the mechanism of injury occurrence and effective damage reduction methods from a viewpoint of mechanics and mechanical engineering. Kinematic behavior and injury occurrence mechanism of a victim in car-to-car and car-to-pedestrian/cyclist collisions are examined by using computer simulations. I am also interested in injuries that can occur in daily life such as fall and sports injuries. Recently, I am focusing on accident investigations to investigate the causes of traffic accidents and driver behavior analysis using a driving simulator.
