Hi guys! How have you been doing?
I'm a member of kansai university volunteer student staffs.. Now I'm in Utah, the U.S for study abroad and going to introduce a few about my life here!
Environmental condition is amazing and a kind of crazy. Compared to Japanese weather, it is so dry like dishes dry up quickly after being washed. I need hand creams. Utah has unique weather like the following: yesterday was about 20°C but 4°C today: we can see the sun shining bright at noon after much snow had fallen in the morning. I love it.
Transportation system is very complicated and confusing me. I and a friend of mine were late on the second class day because we got lost. The name of bus stations is number like 5400 S @ 3715 W, 5400 S @ 3595 W, 5400 S @ 3401 W, 5400 S @ 3185...It's difficult to remember it and listen to the announce in the bus, isn't it? In addition, we didn't realize that the blue line train we rode on changed to red line train. That was terrible morning.
The campus of my university is so large(6.21㎢) where there are clean school buildings and various facilities. We can play boring, billiards and table tennis in the building and also exercise in very big gym which is equipped with a lot of machines. It has some large spaces for bouldering and playing sports with friends like basketball and volleyball. I'm supposed to go to the gym every day, but I can't and just stay home all day...
Eggs were out of stock at a grocery store. It shows how serious this situation is. My host family who lives here for a long time said they had never experienced such a situation. Everyone here think it so serious and do something completely like wash your hands for 25 sec at least and clean up all food with alcohol sanitizer after we went to a grocery store. One month has passed since we started quarantine life. It was so stressful for me at first, but I don't feel anything about it now because I forgot normal life lol
