ON CAMPUS PROGRAM(SUMMER/WINTER)

When will you start to look for participants?
You can find the starting term as follows:
Summer School: December/ January
Winter School: July/ August
Is there any scholarship?
No applicable scholarship for short-term programs at Kansai University.
Are there any regulations of faculty and department to apply?
There are not special regulations of faculty and department. In any field of students are able to apply.
Can graduated students apply for this program?
They can’t apply. Applicants must be an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at an accredited college/university/research institution outside Japan.
I need the acceptance letter to apply for visa. When can I get it?
It will be issued after confirming your payment. The following approximate periods are for your reference.
Summer School: the end of May to beginning of June
Winter School: the end of November to beginning of December
What should I do if I need the important documents to provide information in order to apply to VISA.

Do I have to sign up for overseas travel insurance by myself?
Please confirm the application requirements regarding the details about the insurance, which applicants are required to look through a part “OVEERSEAS TRAVEL INSURANCE” by clicking a tab “INFORMATION”. It will be applicable only when you participate in the program of Kansai University (from check-in day to check-out day) in basis of the insurance policy.
If you make a voyage, this insurance doesn’t cover you, so please purchase another insurance out of pocket just in case accidents occur.
When can I get a transcript?
We will send it to you by post in two weeks after finishing the program.

ONLINE PROGRAM

Who is the eligible applicant?
The applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at an accredited college/university/research institution outside Japan. Main courses are taught in English.
Therefore, a certain degree of English proficiency is required to understand the lectures and engage in assignment and activities. (TOEFL score 500 [PBT] / 61 [iBT] or equivalent level is the minimal recommendation for non-native English speaker accredited college/university/research institution outside Japan.
Is there any scholarship?
No applicable scholarship for short-term programs at Kansai University.
Will I get money back if I drop the course?
Program fee is non-refundable once the payment is completed.
When can I get a transcript?
We will send it to you by post in two weeks after finishing the program.
Can I get credits after successfully completing?
Our programs do not provide credits, but the following class hours including assignment, tutoring and homework are guaranteed.
Main Courses (45 hours)
Optional Course (Business Japanese: 30 hours, Survival Japanese Language: 15 hours)
What are technical requirements for the program?
The above courses will use zoom (zoom.us) as its virtual communication tool.
You are responsible to have (i) a good internet access, (ii) equipment that allows you to verbally communicate with video feed, and (iii) an environment where you are not distracted by the surrounding sounds.
How can I interact with professors and other students?
All classes will be held in live, thus, you can expect to immerse yourself into the interactive environment.
Will classes meet at a specific time?
It will be held at 5pm(JST).
