Admission of Undergraduate School (Kan-Dai web) (Japanese)

Admission of International Undergraduate Students Qualifications

  All conditions 1 to 4 below must be met to apply for the entrance examination.

1.
Must be of foreign nationality.
*Those who hold dual nationality (Japan plus another) should contact the Admission Office at rgsml.kandai.jp beforehand.
2.
Must satisfy one of the requirements of (1)~(6) below.
(1) Have completed by the time of enrollment at Kansai University a 12-year curriculum of school education in their home country. (This includes those who completed the 12-year curriculum in less than 12 years through skipping a grade.)
Note: Applicants who have studied overseas longer than 8 years out of a 12-year curriculum of school education and have graduated or will graduate from a high school outside of Japan by the time of enrollment at Kansai University are deemed to be equivalent with the above.
(2) Have passed an examination demonstrating academic ability equivalent to the completion of a standard 12-year course curriculum outside of Japan and have reached 18 years of age by the time of enrollment at Kansai University.
(3) Have completed school education in a country where the curriculum is shorter than 12 years, and have completed a Japanese pre-university preparatory course accredited by MEXT.
(4) Have completed, or will have completed by the time of enrollment at Kansai University, an 11-year or longer curriculum course designated by MEXT.
(5) Possess one of the following qualifications: the International Baccalaureate Diploma, GCE A-Level, Abitur or Baccalaureate. Or have completed a 12-year course curriculum at an educational institution accredited by an international accrediting organization (WASC, ACSI or CIS).
(6) Be deemed to have a qualification equivalent to (1)~(5) and have reached 18 years of age by the time of enrollment at Kansai University.
※The enrollment period at an international or ethnic school in Japan, or school overseas based on the Japanese education system, is deemed as the same period spent learning in a Japanese school.
Those who have graduated or will graduate from only a Japanese high school or junior high school are not eligible to apply for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students.
3.
Must have taken the subjects specified by each faculty in the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU).
*The Examination Language can be chosen from either Japanese or English, except for the subject of "Japanese as a Foreign Language."
4.
Must submit grades or scores from the English certificate examination specified by each faculty as listed below when applying to the Faculty of Letters, Economics, Business and Commerce, Sociology, or Health and Well-being. For those who have completed the last 6-year curriculum of school education in English, and apply to the Faculty of Letters, Sociology, or Health and Well-being, the submitted certification is deemed to be equivalent to grades or scores from the English certificate examination.
