Daisuke Takahashi Won Japan Figure Skating Championships and Was Selected to Represent Japan at ISU World Figure Skating Championships

Daisuke Takahashi (Graduate School of Letters), Kansai University Ice Skating Club member, won his fifth title, after two years gap, in the men's singles at the 80th Japan Figure Skating Championships, held in Osaka, Japan on December 22 - 25. Tatsuki Machida (senior, Faculty of Letters), also a Kansai University Ice Skating Club member, finished fourth; while Ice Skating Club member Emi Hirai (Graduate School of Letters), placed second in Ice Dance.

Takahashi has been selected to represent Japan at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships, which will be held on March 2012 in France.
