Kyudo(Japanese Archery) Experience

2017/01/12

During Japan Studies class, Bekka students had a Kyudo experience with a help of Kansai University Japanese Archery club. They seemed a bit nervous when they entered the training hall and welcomed by the club members wearing traditional Kyudo wears, but also excited to have a chance to experience traditional Japanese martial art.

Bekka students were given a short presentation about Japanese archery and then an impressive performance by the club members. And then, the students tried shooting a bow. It first seemed difficult but with great assistance from the club members, some of them were able to improve enough to hit on the target.

Bekka students had a great experience not only Kyudo but also interact with club members.
