2013/12/18

At Kansai University Japanese Language and Japanese Culture Program (Bekka), students have opportunities to participate field trips 3 times a year to learn Japanese cultures and technology.
On December 7th, 93 Bekka students went on a field trip to Kyoto.
They first had a Zazen experience at Tenryuji Temple and then enjoyed Kyou-Kaiseki lunch (traditional multi-course Japanese meal) . After the lunch, they visited Asahi News Paper Printing Factory and received a special news paper with their photos on as a souvenir. They also went to one of the major Japanese sake breweries, 'Gekkeikan' and learnt the history and brewing techniques of sake.
It was a fun and productive day with a lot of opportunities to learn Japanese tradition, culture and technology.
