information2018/05/18  [Casebook of International Activities at Kansai University 16] Satoko Itani

Kansai University has over 700 researchers, many of whom are engaged in unique international activities.
To share information of such activities with a wide range of people inside and outside the university, we publish here the online Casebooks of International Activities at Kansai University.

The 16th casebook showcases the activity of Professor Satoko Itani, Faculty of Letters : International research on the public impacts of mega sporting events.
Dr. Itani studies the impacts on the public of the Olympic Games from gender and sexuality perspectives. We asked why Dr. Itani took up this research theme and about the challenges in studying a global-level sporting event like the Olympic Games.

We will continue sharing information of unique activities at Kansai University, to show that “Kandai has many human treasures.”
