Division of International Affairs

The Division of International Affairs at Kansai University handles matters related to exchange students as well as full time international students.
The division is the main place where both Japanese and international students have opportunities to meet. The division provides information important for international students. The division also provides information for Japanese students who wish to study abroad. Newspapers in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean are available in the division. Computers with Internet access are also available where students may have access to their e-mail.
We will be happy to help you if you need our assistance with life and academic pursuits at Kansai University. Most of the division staff speak English, but students are expected to use Japanese as much as possible.

【Operation Hours】

The center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Monday - Saturday(closed Sundays and holidays)

【Major functions】

  • Coordinating with overseas partner universities including prospective partner universities
  • For faculty members, researchers and Kansai University's student:
    • Dispatching faculty members under the Regulations of Kansai University’s Overseas Researcher
    • Dispatching and inviting faculty members under the Inter-university Exchange Agreements, and the Kansai University Regulations Pertaining to Visiting Scholars
    • Dispatching students under the Inter-university Exchange Agreements
    • Providing information about partner universities, screening students by the committee, giving advise about studying abroad, and conducting guidance for study abroad
    • Dispatching students under self-funding study abroad program
    • Dispatching students under short-term language program at affiliated universities abroad
  • For exchange students and international students:
    • Offering orientation programs for international students
    • Scholarship related matters
    • Serving as a problem resolution resource for international students
    • Giving exchange and international students opportunities to teach their native language to Japanese students
    • Speech contest among international students
  • Events:
  • Planning excursions to experience Japanese culture and technology
  • Public relations
