<title>Daisuke Takahashi Won Bronze and Nobunari Oda Finished in Seventh Place at the Vancouver Olympics</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Daisuke Takahashi (Graduate School of Letters), Kansai University Ice Skating Club member, won a bronze medal in the men's figure skating at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games on February 19, 2010, Japan time. <br />
He earned a total score of 247.23 points, becoming the first Japanese man to win an Olympic medal in figure skating. <br />
Nobunari Oda (senior, Faculty of Letters) came in seventh place with a score of 238.54 points in his first appearance at the Olympics.</p>

<title>KU KAISERS earned its second Koshien Bowl win for the first time in 62 seasons</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Kansai University American football team KAISERS defeated Hosei University TOMAHAWKS by a score of 50-38 at the 64th Mainichi Koshien Bowl held at Hanshin Koshien Stadium on December 13, making it Japan's best university American football team.<br />
The team is now qualified for the 27th Rice Bowl, the American football national championships, scheduled for January 3, 2010 at Tokyo Dome, pitting itself against an adult champion team. </p>

<title>International Forum by Kansai University Research Center for Naniwa-Osaka Cultural Heritage Studies to be held</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>The Kansai University Research Center for Naniwa-Osaka Cultural Heritage Studies will hold an international forum on the theme of "Unraveling the Mystery of the Japanese Folding Screen depicting Osaka during the Toyotomi Era" with the cooperation of Osaka Castle Museum. Three guests will give lectures about Schloss Eggenberg-owned eight panels of Japanese folding screen ("byōbu") from various aspects, such as the scenery painted on the folding screen, the history of relations between Japan and Europe, the treatment of the"byōbu" in Austria, and the charms of Graz, Austria where Schloss Eggenberg is located. <br />
The forum is open to the public. </p>
