Kansai University introduced a communication mark "Global ‘KU’" and a tag line "THINK×ACT" in April, 2009 with the aim of further improving its brand image.

The university's long–term vision "KU Vision 2008–2017", which was formulated in July, 2008, defines the goals in a decade's time and includes the concept ‘looking social realities in the face, and meeting the challenges presented by social change, KU human resources fully capable of "action–from–thought" will open up new worlds’.
The communication mark and the tag line represent this concept in a simplified manner and visually express the value of the university, while being used as tools to foster a favorable image.

Communication Mark

The earth–shaped mark is created with letters of the alphabet K and double U representing the theme of the design "KU human resources fully capable of "action–from–thought" will open up new worlds" specified in "KU Vision 2008–2007".

THINK × ACT(“think by act”)

THINK×ACT, which can be read as "think by act", means synergetic effects of the interaction of thinking and acting, aiming at the cultivation of active intellectuals with KU minds.

The Communication Mark is established with the aim of further improving the brand image of the university. Please keep in mind this purpose when using the mark.

Prohibited cases
  1. 1:Commercial use for merchandise development and other purposes without authorization from Kansai University.
  2. 2:When damaging the credibility and dignity of Kansai University.
  3. 3:Other uses which are recognized as inadequate.
Prohibited matter in use
  • Changing horizontal to vertical ratio.
  • Altering the image or combining with other images.
  • Changing the color.
